2017 Perthshire Chamber of Commerce Golf Day – a splendid day out.

We enjoyed a great event again at the Perthshire Chamber of Commerce Golf Day, held on the PGA Centenary Course at Gleneagles. The 2014 Ryder Cup venue was in first-class condition, and whilst neither the weather nor the golf quite reached the splendour of the matches in September 2014, everyone enjoyed the perfectly prepared course and the camaraderie we usually experience at the Perthshire Chamber’s annual outing.

Players teed off amid the beautiful Perthshire hills, enjoying good golfing conditions. Like the Ryder Cup matches, everything was up for grabs!

After some great play, the Winning Team was Tower Bakery – and James Riley scooped the Individual Winner prize. Our congratulations to all deserving prizewinners. It was certainly a day to celebrate.

It was Carbon’s sixth year of supporting this event, one of Perthshire’s most popular days in the golfing calendar.

Commenting after the competition, Gordon Wilson, Carbon’s managing director, said: “Having lost the orange ball from the first tee, we knew it wasn’t going to be our day! The PGA Centenary Course however was in superb condition. Once again, the event organisation was first-class and the staff at Gleneagles couldn’t have been more hospitable and welcoming. The event was again very well supported by the local business community, the rain stayed away, and everyone had a fantastic day.”
