Carbon celebrates 13 years

On Friday the 31st of May, the sun was shining and the Carbon Team had a well-deserved team building day to celebrate our 13th birthday.

Held at the Radisson Blue in Edinburgh, in the morning we revisited our Insights Discovery profiles with Karran Bonnar, who led us through a session on ‘thriving through change with Insights’. A lot of fun was had in the Team building exercises and we came away with tips and ideas we can use in our day-to-day interactions with each other.

After lunch, it was time to go outside and enjoy some sunshine with a GPS treasure hunt around Edinburgh. Congratulations to the winning team and a big thank you to our Social Team for all their hard work in pulling the day together – and even arranging one of the very few days of sunshine we’ve had this year! It is a rare occasion that the team get together in person and it gave us the opportunity to reflect upon the brilliant team we have at Carbon.

As part of the day, we were delighted to recognise specific members of the team for their long service anniversaries.

Financial Planners Zoë Malpas, Polly Milne and Felicity Morris, together with Alix Robertson, Paraplanner, all collected their 5 year service awards and Gary Wright, Associate Director was presented with his 10 year service award. The final recognition of the day was Shireen Fernie, Operations Director for an incredible 35 years service, 22 years at previous firms and 13 years with Carbon Financial Partners.

We would like to thank Zoë, Polly, Felicity, Alix, Gary and Shireen for their loyalty and contributions over the years and we look forward to celebrating future milestones with the team.
