Carbon teams complete the Edinburgh Marathon relay race

Well, we did it! A mixture of excitement and nerves as we gathered on Sunday morning to complete the Edinburgh marathon relay race. I don’t think we could have asked for a better day: blue skies, no wind, and plenty of high fives from supporters along the route (the jelly baby donations helped too!)

The route started at Potterrow in the city centre, headed out towards Longniddry, before returning to the finish line at Musselburgh. The atmosphere was incredible! Our three teams absolutely smashed it, and the initial “why am I doing this?!” soon turned into “I loved that!!” as we collected our medals.

A few obligatory pints in the sun to celebrate the results before heading home to rest our legs and have a well earned dinner. I think curry, burgers, and chinese takeaways were on the menu for most!
