We are shining a light on our team, and especially, the women of Carbon. We kicked off this series of posts with a Q&A with Polly Reaves, our Trainee Financial Planner. Next up is our Operations Director, Shireen Fernie.
How long have you worked at Carbon?
31 years continuous service.
What does your ideal weekend look like?
Catching up with friends for a nice lunch and a glass of wine. Walking and gardening, baking with my daughter and having a busy house – luckily I have been able to continue with some of my favourite things in lockdown.
What did you dream about being when you grew up?
Happy 😊
One place on your bucket list?
Italy – to learn to cook there (and drink wine)
Favourite place you have visited?
New York and I also love Prague.
Favourite book, artist, musician or band?
Gosh a hard question. I do love Andrea Bocelli though and was lucky enough to see him live in Prague.
Do you have any children/pets? Tell us about them.
Both! My daughter will be 18 this year and is planning many adventures as soon as she is allowed. A little Cavachon called Millie completes our family.
Tell us something people wouldn’t know about you.
I love Emma Bridgewater Pottery (who am I kidding everyone knows that…..)
You have a table of 4 for dinner, who do you invite and why?
I would invite my family & friends, I love and miss and have not seen for a while.
