CII Edinburgh Annual Awards Ceremony

There were two reasons to celebrate at the recent Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Edinburgh Annual Awards Ceremony as Polly Milne and Felicity Morris collected awards for First and Third in the region for their marks in their Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning.

Every January the Insurance Society of Edinburgh's Education Committee reviews the results of those completing their CII examinations locally during the previous calendar year and awards are presented for those achieving the highest marks in the region.

Polly’s achievement was recognised with the presentation of The Royal London Shield, previously won by Carbon’s Matt Duncan, and notably Polly was the first female name on the trophy for 10 years. The Royal London Shield is awarded to the best overall candidate that has completed their advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and is a current member of the society.

Felicity also received a certificate recognising her third highest mark in the region at the prizegiving ceremony on the 4^th June at Le Monde, which gave the opportunity to celebrate these fantastic achievements with peers in the society.

Polly said, “This was a big surprise, but I’m delighted to have been awarded the Royal London Shield for my Advanced Diploma qualification. I have to say a big thanks to Carbon for all the exam support, and my colleagues for study tips. I think I’ll be taking a little break before the next set of exams…!”
