From Beginning to End: What Business Owners Need to Know - Seminar

Join experts from Carbon, Johnston Smillie Chartered Accountants and Murray Beith Murray solicitors, who will lead an informative session on key issues which business owners should consider, from creating the business, to extracting any investment at the other end.

This seminar will take place on Tuesday 5th November at Murray Beith Murray’s Edinburgh offices at 3 Glenfinlas Street, Edinburgh, EH3 6AQ, and will cover the following topics:

  • Setting-up – choosing the business structure;
  • Engaging help – director, employee, partner or self-employed – why does it matter?
  • Rewarding staff and business owners – What benefits are available? What is the tax position? How do you lawfully change the remuneration package of an employee?
  • Providing the lifestyle you want and ensuring you never run out of money in retirement.

The day will start with registration and breakfast at 7.45am with the seminar itself taking place between 8.15am and 9.30am, with time following for discussion and questions.
