We thought we’d share our latest shirt design with you today; we’ve just signed them off for production. No, you won’t be seeing these around the office; these special shirts are being produced for an exciting challenge to raise money for Prostate Scotland.
From 15th to 19th July a team will be cycling from London to Brussels via Amsterdam. We are delighted that Carbon will be strongly represented in the challenge by Richard Wadsworth and Raymond Fernie. Both have been training hard in the lead up to the event, which starts at Olympic Park, London, on 15th July. They will then complete the 300-mile trip over the next four days.
We will be posting details of their journey and pictures from the route on our Facebook page throughout the challenge, so please be sure to like our Facebook page if you would like to keep track of their progress.
Richard and Raymond are taking on this challenge to raise funds for Prostate Scotland, in particular, the Blue Horizon Appeal. This appeal is specially to raise enough funds to buy equipment that will enable robotic surgery for the treatment of prostate cancer in Scotland. Robotic surgery is widely used in other countries and enables a level of surgical precision that is not available in standard keyhole surgery, making complex manoeuvres easier to perform. Currently, there are no facilities in Scotland for this type of treatment.
Richard and Raymond would like your help in raising funds for this fantastic and much needed equipment. You can help them by making a donation to their JustGiving pages; your help, support and encouragement will be much appreciated.
