Macmillan Coffee Morning at Carbon

Last week, Carbon again joined many homes and businesses across the UK and hosted Coffee Mornings in our offices to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Our team got involved, baking (and some faking!) delicious treats and making donations. Clients visiting the offices on these days kindly donated as well - with a total of £385 raised for Macmillan.

The icing on the cake is that Carbon match £1 for £1 on any funds raised.

The first Macmillan Coffee Morning happened way back in 1990. It was a rather small affair with a simple idea: guests would gather over coffee and donate the cost of their cuppa to Macmillan in the process. Since then, the annual Coffee Morning has raised over £290 million for Macmillan’s essential work.

Macmillan take the time to understand and support people with cancer and their families to live their lives as fully as they can. From the moment of diagnosis to whenever they are most needed, they help people find their best way through. With 3 million people in the UK living with cancer - we’re delighted to have been able to support this essential work. Thanks to all involved, especially our organisers and bakers.
