OUR European Tour ambassador Richie Ramsay took time out from a hectic early season schedule to pay a visit to Blairgowrie Golf Club.
He delighted members at the renowned Perthshire club, where Carbon enjoys a corporate partnership, by taking part in a wide-ranging Q&A session and laying on a surprise putting lesson in the clubhouse reception.
“The feedback from the event has been excellent, with Richie reflecting on career highlights, his hopes for the new season and tales of golfing with everyone from Tiger Woods to Donald Trump,” said Carbon managing director Gordon Wilson.
“Inevitably, the recent rule changes also came under scrutiny from club members.
“It was great to see a cross section of members enjoying the evening, with many of the juniors thrilled to have a chance to listen and learn from a top professional.”
Club managing secretary Steven Morgan said: “We were thrilled to welcome Richie back to Blairgowrie and for the support of the Carbon team.
“Richie always encourages young Scottish golfers and it was particularly good to hear him talk so highly of the talent coming through in our junior section at Blairgowrie, where we have high hopes for several of the youngsters keen to follow in the footsteps of players like Richie and our own Bradley Neil.
“They enjoyed a valuable insight to the life of a globe-trotting professional.”
The event was hosted by Perth freelance journalist Gordon Bannerman.
