Scotland votes ‘No’

The votes have been counted and we now know that Scotland is to remain within the UK. There is therefore no need to take any action at this time.

Westminster has made a promise to the Scottish people to devolve additional powers to the Scottish Parliament and Carbon will be watching closely for any opportunities or threats which might emerge as a result, from a financial perspective.

Financial Services is an ever-changing landscape and we are used to adapting to, and advising on, frequent regulatory change. We understand the UK system well, and there are already differences between Scots Law and English Law which impact upon the advice we give, so it will be business as usual at Carbon.

As negotiations progress and more clarity emerges, Carbon will be proactively advising you on the impact, positive or negative, on your longer-term plans and, if any change is needed, we will advise you in good time.
