Strengthening Client Support through Collaboration

The world of Financial Planning can often seem focused on technical details like products, investing, and taxes. At Carbon, we believe in keeping up to date with best practice in the other professions of law and accountancy, as this puts us in a stronger position to help our clients during any life event or circumstance they might face.

A recent example of this commitment involved our planners attending a session with Lindsay McLean, a highly experienced solicitor who advises on Wills, Power of Attorney, and Estate Administration. Lindsay frequently supports clients facing vulnerable situations, such as bereavement or loss of capacity due to health changes.

We believe that having a solid understanding of the relevant legal matters that interact with what we do, is beneficial for our clients. Our session with Lindsay improved our understanding of how and when capacity is assessed, what best practices for ongoing support are, and when we might need to adapt our services to meet individual circumstances. While the experienced team at Carbon was already aware of these issues, it is invaluable to gain another professional’s perspective to ensure our approach remains as effective as possible.

Teamwork is at the core of what we do at Carbon. We collaborate, share best practices, and seek second opinions to ensure our clients achieve the best possible outcomes.

We are always here to help individuals and families navigate changes in their circumstances, whether due to health issues or life events. If you are dealing with such a life event, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. You will find our team to be approachable, empathetic, and keen to help so that you stay on track to achieve the financial future you aspire to and deserve.
