The Perthshire Chamber of Commerce Business Star Awards 2012

Carbon is pleased to announce that we have reached the shortlist in two categories of the Perthshire Chamber of Commerce Business Star awards 2012 – The Johnston Carmichael Most Promising New Business Award and the Binn Waste Management Excellence in Marketing Award.

Perthshire Chamber of Commerce chief executive Vicki Unite said there were some difficult decisions ahead. “We’re delighted with the standard of entry this year,” she said, “and they represent an amazingly diverse range of businesses – large and small, new and established. Perthshire Chamber of Commerce Star Awards are recognised as an indicator of business excellence and I can understand the appeal for entrants vying to win one for their company trophy cabinet,” added Ms Unite. “We’re looking forward to seeing who reaches their goal next month and rewarding their achievements. The Star Awards celebrate those who’ve made the very most of opportunities they’ve spotted even in these tumultuous market conditions,” she said. “The awards applaud those with outstanding expertise, flair, vision, sound business sense and – above all – entrepreneurial drive and passion. It’s vital that such passion and drive is recognised and rewarded and we’re proud that the Star Awards celebrate the strength and promise of businesses in Perth and Kinross.”

This year, a record number of entrants from across Perth and Kinross have been vying for 11 category awards as well as the coveted Perthshire Business Of The Year title. Panels of expert judges will now begin the process of interviewing all businesses shortlisted, with the winners being announced at a glittering awards dinner and gala evening at Crieff Hydro Hotel on Friday, November 23.
