Our final newsletter of the year introduces the forthcoming changes to pensions which mean we all need to rethink the part pensions play in our financial plans. Increased flexibility and accessibility, and less tax, all mean that using pension plans to save, and pass money down the generations, is firmly back on the agenda.
We also celebrate our awards successes and our near misses. Carbon made the final three for the second year running for the Chartered Financial Planner of the Year (Corporate) Award and won, for the second consecutive year, the Gold Standard for Independent Financial Advice, which was presented to us at the Houses of Parliament in November. A full page is devoted to these achievements and more.
In order to further improve the advice and service we provide to clients, we have recruited more excellent graduates and our existing team has continued to enjoy success in examinations. Read more on p4. We have also taken a new office in Rubislaw Terrace, Aberdeen which we are about to refurbish before opening early in 2015.
