Spoil yourself and create some memories. Follow your dream and travel the world. Leave a legacy to help your family, or for a cause that’s close to your heart. It’s your money, and your choice.
Unlike Carbon, most traditional investment management firms focus on investing as much of your money as possible. A large proportion of your potential investment return goes to pay fund managers, and advice fees. That in turn means there’s less money left for you to spend.

Carbon is one of the UK’s leading independent financial planning firms. We’re proud of our exceptional track record, industry awards, and long list of very happy investors.
We’ve won the respect of our industry and the loyalty of our clients by adhering to a trio of core, shared values. They’re what makes us different from other firms, and they’re a big part of what makes us successful.
We will always be the best we can be, going the extra mile for our clients and providing the best quality advice and service.
We will always do the right thing for our clients, our own people and our communities. The advice our clients receive will be no different from the advice we would give to members of our own family.
We are free to be different. We start planning with the end in mind and base our investment strategies on hard facts. We make sure our clients understand exactly what we’re proposing and why. As an independent company owned by its employees, Carbon can go its own way, free from the constraints of industry convention.
It’s not just clients who appreciate Carbon’s exceptional performance and service - we’re acknowledged as one of the country’s leading independent firms by our peers too. We’ve amassed an impressive collection of industry awards, including Incisive Media’s Gold Standard for Independent Financial advice no less than seven years in a row.
Corporate social responsibility at Carbon
The Carbon ethos is all about making money work harder. While transforming our clients’ financial circumstances, we take pride in making a positive impact where we live and work. We support a wide range of charities, and work with a number of grass-roots sporting organisations.
Carbon has supported The Bill McLaren Foundation almost since it was set up in 2010. The BMF raises funds to support the development of rugby and its values, in Scotland and beyond, and to inspire youngsters to achieve their very best.
We’ve recently added The Sportsman’s Charity to our roster. This dynamic charity raises funds for a wide range of causes, particularly children and young people with a disability and the disadvantaged. We also support a number of children’s health, care and education charities, including The Prince’s Trust and Aberlour Child Care Trust.
On a more local level, we’re involved in fundraising for a number of charities close to our key offices. We’re currently working with The Jamie King Uro-Oncology Fund in Edinburgh, and Friends of Anchor, which helps cancer and haematology patients in Aberdeenshire and the Northern Isles.
It’s our belief that the financial industry has a responsibility to do good for society. Directly, through fundraising and working with charities, and indirectly by advising clients on the best way to support good causes, we’re committed to doing our bit.
We have offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Perth and London. You can contact us at any of our offices, or by email.
